Finally, my friend is hosting her first .  Head over and link up your recipes, diy projects, decorating, marriage, parenting posts and more.

Now. let’s feast on some eye candy, shall we? I thought I’d share some images of different ideas for the walls, like stenciling, wallpaper and molding.  Do you have a favorite wall treatment?   Have you put up wallpaper or a wall of board and batten? Tried your hand at stenciling yet?  Maybe you’ll be inspired to do something new on the walls after seeing these images.

I love this wall with the large stencil pattern, something a little different than with the larger pattern.

Grasscloth is very popular right now and you can see why. It’s subtle texture on the wall is the perfect backdrop to any room.

Are you as excited for the weekend as I am?  We are going to be joining our good friends for some weekend fun of swimming, playing hand and foot (card game) and just catching up.  Both our families lived in the same town for a few years and our daughters share the same name, they met in pre-school and became fast friends.  Many Friday nights were spent together playing games, eating dinner together and letting the kids stay up late because the adults didn’t want to stop playing games.  Do you have good family friends that you like to get together with?  Ever played Hand and Foot?  I’d love to hear what your plans are this weekend!

I love grasscloth oh so very much. My in laws have it in their house and have painted it several times over the years. It adds such a pretty and subtle texture. You should have included your bedroom wall – that is one of the prettiest stenciled walls I’ve seen!

Guess what? We love to get together with friends and play games too! But, we’ve never played Hand and Foot. Maybe you can move to my town and teach us and come over for game night and teach us. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. My daughter has her first soccer game of the season tomorrow, hopefully I’ll do some yardwork and hit up Ace for my free paint. Tomorrow night we’re going to dinner with a group of friends and then to the Hunger Games. The weather is supposed to be in the 70’s, so lots of outdoor time is planned! Happy weekend Ange!

Definitely stoked for the weekend…the only wrench in the works was the fact that I didn’t get to go to the midnight showing of Hunger Games, *tear*…but I’m drooling over that fabulous wallpaper…that sounds a lot less daunting to me than stenciling an entire wall for some odd reason (c: Mostly because I would probably make my husband put it up!
