Hello friends. I’ve been a busy little beaver around here the past few days but unfortunately I have nothing to show you, yet. Soon though if everything goes according to plan, which it almost never does.
While talking with my mom on the phone and describing something I am going to be doing soon, she said “I thought gold/brass wasn’t in style anymore?”
Well, I think it’s coming back in a big way and even more fun is mixing it in with other metals. Here are some examples of gold and brass I’ve pinned recently and I have to say, I’m loving it!

So what do you think? Is gold coming back? Have you used it in your house recently?
Funny how that happens. I recently bought some brass lamps. I have always been a fan of brushed antique brass though. So old world.
I'm getting into it! I think it's coming back, but the funny thing is that if you're on the front end of this trend, other people who aren't really interested in design will think your space is outdated.
I have brass/gold items. I have different metals. My personal style is eclectic and I subscribe to the school of "not always going by trend but enjoying favorite items, mementos,heirlooms all the time". But yes, brass/gold trend is definitely back.
Oh. no. Don't know if I will be hopping back onto that bandwagon. Oh well. I don't always like what is in style.
Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve, though. No doubt you will make it look phenomenal! I think it is cool how you blogged about talking to your Mom on the phone. It seems ACTUAL "talking on the phone" has become 'old school' with texting these days. sigh…
I actually like some touches of gold. In fact I've been thinking of using some in my dining room project. Since my colors are yellow, a gray/blue and white I think a few "gold" accents can add a nice brightness…of course I'm wanting to use some red too, so maybe I'm just a little crazy. lol By the way, I am SO pinning that picture of the kitchen island. That is exactly how I'm envisioning mine with the legs, etc. so thanks for posting it. lol

I was all set to spray paint the brass/goldy light fixture in my foyer, but now I seriously reconsidering. What's that saying… if you leave things long enough they come back in style.
I am not a fan of the brass. Although, you do a great job at pulling things together. I'll just come over and admire all your work.
I'm a big fan of mixing metals in frames and accessories….but I don't love the shiny brass knobs that adorn every door in my house. Beautiful inspiration pictures….love the light in that first picture!
