ORC Master Bathroom Reveal

After 6 crazy weeks of ripping out tile, installing tile, painting, spray painting, questioning my vision and working late into the night, it’s finally time to reveal the Master Bathroom.  This was my original vision board for this room based on a shower curtain I had purchased and eventually returned.  Isn’t that so how these things start out?

When I first signed up for this challenge it was going to be just a few simple and cheap changes in the bathroom to make it jive more with our

Well, things didn’t go down like that but the end result is amazing and we are both so happy with our master bathroom!  The only thing we are waiting on is a new light fixture from Amazon as the one we had to install for photos is missing a pretty crucial piece.

Here’s the reminder of what the bathroom was looking like before, very vanilla and boring.  Nothing wrong with it but just lacking the sexyness and hotel feeling we were going for.

Besides the tile floor, we replaced the light fixture, the mirror, the vanity top and the faucet.   My husband is a jack of all trades, he installed the tile floor and backsplash, the picture frame moulding, the shelving, the light fixture, faucet and vanity top.

Just for fun, here’s some before and afters for you.  Maybe before, middle and after is more appropriate.

I love that the bathroom and bedroom flow together now!

Here’s the list of what I had hoped to accomplish these past 6 weeks in the bathroom.  I was hoping to make a Lucite and brass shower rod but that didn’t happen.  The crown moulding is still on the list but momma needs to save some money for that one and also a new fan/light combo as the light we have now doesn’t give off enough light for the shower area as well.

Please don’t forget to check out all the other amazing bloggers who have worked hard these past 6 weeks!   Head over to Linda from for all the link ups!  And a big shout out to Linda for hosting this challenge twice a year and allowing us to join in on the fun!

Ange, wow!!!!! I think this might be one of my favorites. I love where this all ended up! The picture frame molding looks sooooooo great and gives the space such a beautiful, finished, high end feel. The black with the white, gorgeous tile, an gold accessories is so balanced and lovely. You must be thrilled at how it all came out!!!!

It’s stunning! I can hardly believe it’s the same room! I love the artwork! I saw something similar at the HomeGoods near me and I wanted it, but didn’t have a place for it. I’m glad someone was able to use it. Great work!

Thanks Sam! Yes, I loved the artwork and am kicking myself for not buying one that is a little different but still very similar. I stole this one from the bedroom above the chair so now I need art for that spot. Homegoods always has such great selection!

Tammy, thanks, I love the floors too! They were the first thing I purchased for this room. Crazy that they are at Lowes for so cheap, which I’m glad.

Thank you Nancy! The faucet really was what set the tone and I love it! I almost did a brass faucet but I’m glad I went with the mixed metals.

So gorgeous! Your bedroom is a stunner and this bathroom is one now too – the two spaces flow together so beautifully! I actually just picked up that exact mirror at Hobby Lobby and was so bummed when it didn’t work in my space because it’s a stunner! Congrats on getting it done – I can only imagine how much you and your husband are loving it!
