Ringing in Spring Home Tour

I’m so excited to be part of this amazing group of bloggers who are throwing open their doors and showing off how they add spring to their homes!  Thank you to Vidya at for this great tour!  If you haven’t been over to check out her blog yet, I suggest you do, her blog is amazing, tons of inspiration and great DIY projects so make sure to stop by and say Hi!

When I first thought about spring in my home, I immediately knew my master bedroom was going to be getting a little makeover. A few months ago I painted over the Hale Navy and the stenciled wall with one of my favorite grays for a bedroom, .   I still loved this wall but it was so hard with bedding and I think after 2 years, it was time for a change.

I found a duvet cover at Homegoods and didn’t do much else with the room since then.    Here’s how it looked for a while this winter, gold, gray, some lavender and navy.  I tried going with a calming, light and airy look but I’ve realized it’s just not me, I like pops of color with black and white.

I found a new duvet at Homegoods last week and that started the change which somehow led to new flooring.  Don’t ask, we are very spontaneous around here!  So this is what it looks like for Spring, nice and bright and cheery!  There are still many things I’d like to change/add in here like a rug, something different over the bed and maybe another stenciled wall but it’s a start and feels so bright and cheery which I love!

Something as simple as some new pillows can really change the look and feel of your room!  I’ve always been drawn to blues and grays but the yellows, oranges and reds were really calling to me as I was out shopping for my bedroom.  The yellow pillow is from Target and the bird pillow I found at Homegoods.  I’ve been loving the softer look of the watercolor style lately, so this was perfect and really says Spring to me!

I love how adding some fresh flowers for $5 from Trader Joes just brings such life and color to my nightstand, bonus they make me happy!   These ranunculus last forever, I’ve had some that are two weeks old and now are finally dying off.

I’ll be working on our master bedroom more in the coming weeks as I work on the finishing touches and hope to show you the end result soon.  For now, this is perfect and I love how the laminate floor changes the look of our room and makes it feel even bigger!  With the new white duvet it will be easy to change out pillows and throws to change the look of the room for Spring, Fall or whenever I want to something different!    I’d love to know if you change out your bedding or accessories in your bedroom for different seasons.

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the amazing homes on this tour over the next 4 days, it’s going to be so good!

Your master bedroom looks beautiful. I loved that stenciled wall, but the gray is beautiful as well and more soothing. Love the pops of spring.

I don’t know if it’s just me or if everyone else encountering problems with
your blog. It appears as though some of the text on your
posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me know
if this is happening to them as well? This could be a problem with my
browser because I’ve had this happen before. Thanks
