It’s here! Six short weeks ago I decided that redoing a room in our home for the One Room Challenge Linkup was a good idea. If you aren’t sure what the ORC is, picks 20 designers/bloggers to redo a room in 6 weeks. She also has a link up that the rest of us can participate in on Thursday, which is what I am doing!
At first I wanted to redo the powder room but then I decided our master bedroom really needed some sexyness and personality, it was kind of Eyeore like all sad and gloomy. After sitting down with my man and figuring out what we both would like in our bedroom I created a quick moodboard.
We included most of the elements from the mood board and our list in various forms. I think we nailed it! Still on the hunt for some larger nightstands but beyond that, it’s done!
The headboard we made ourselves and it isn’t bad but it’s not amazing either! We definitely learned a few things and would make it again, much cheaper than if we bought a similar headboard.
I love this little sitting area, a great place for me to do my devotionals in the morning!
Here’s a few before and afters so we can remember how bland this room was!
Details on the room coming soon! I’m off to have fun with our friends at the Garth Concert and then Hearts at Home this weekend! We’re in for a jam packed weekend!!!
Make sure you check out the amazingness that all 20 bloggers pulled off in six short weeks with their ! Once again, a big thank you to for the motivation to get a room completed!

it’s amazing ange! this might be my favorite space you have ever done!
Angel, this looks fantastic! I am in love with your bed. The chandelier is stunning, and the accent wall is the perfect backdrop. Well done.
AMAZING!! Wow, I’m truly amazed at how it came together. It’s so inviting. I wouldn’t want to get up in the morning. Great job Ange! Can’t wait to see your posts on how it came together.
One word, Wow!!!
I love what you did with your windows — I had Pinned that image awhile back and am revisiting it today. I have a long window in my master bedroom also, and not sure how to “dress” it — I like how you used 3 shades. We have 3 casement windows in one opening, so it’s kind of like 1 window, similar to your situation. Do you like how the shades function? Would you do anything differently with the windows? Any tips welcome!
Hi Kristen,
Thank you! I still love the shades, I would get room darkening curtains instead of the sheer ones as there is a slight gap when the shades are down and a light from outside hits me right in the face when I am in bed. Lol. But I still like that I can close only one if I want to take a nap and not have the sun in my face but not make my room super dark either. Hope this helps!
