Fabric

A fairly inexpensive material to use, you can find scraps at the fabric store in clearance bins or even as fat rolls for quilting.

 Miscellaneous Groupings

Calender pages,  baskets, free botanical prints online or from a book, paint by numbers, mirrors, ceiling medallions and empty frames spray painted or multi-colored can all be grouped together to create a collage that’s interesting and cheap.

Another cheap or free source, maps are hot, hot, hot right now.  Check your thrift stores and garage sales for old atlases, books or maps.  You can also print some maps out free online.

Kids Art

What better to display on your walls then your own in house Picasa’s art?  Children love to create art and they will love it even more when you display it proudly in your home.  Using wires, clothespins and frames, it is easy to switch out the art work with seasons or stages.

How do you get “invited” to view someone’s blog? “Life of Blue” won’t let me in to see the grouping of mirrors. Would love to pin from original poster – but what a bother.
