Master Bedroom Take 3654

Last week I blogged about the powder room and how I was planning on tackling it for the One Room Challenge Link Up.  Well, I’ve since changed my mind as I am often doing.  And it seems like every fall I feel a need to change my master bedroom.  So instead of tackling the powder room, I think I’ll take on the master bedroom.  This thing is in need of some life, it needs to be more sexy than it is right now, seriously.  It’s improved since we moved in 3 years ago but we can do better!

When we first moved in, the entire house was oak and beige.

Not bad but definitely not what I wanted.  So we painted all the trim white, switched out the doors and painted the walls navy.  Eventually I added a stenciled wall and it was great for a while.  (I couldn’t find a picture without the old blog name on it.)

Then I grew tired of the room, painted over the stenciled wall in a moment of weakness and have kind of floated around with this bedroom ever since.  I first wanted to do our room in gray and lavender so I found some cheap bedding and we did this for a while which was pretty but was kind of bland.

Then in February I changed it up and bought this duvet cover and added pops of color which I thought might make it a little more interesting.  I ended up returning the throw blanket, pillows and kept the love pillow.

So pretty much my bedroom is gray and white with some black.  The hubby and I have decided to work on our room together because it is the only room in the house that is ours and ours alone!  We’ve been busy pinning some inspiration and are working on a game plan, who knows we might get rid of most everything in this photo or we may jsut add some accessories and change the room a bit.  I’ll be linking up on Thursday to the One Room Challenge Link Up.  Make sure and follow along, it’s pretty awesome!

Now we’re curious, do you love your bedroom?  Is it a sanctuary for you and your spouse?  If not, maybe you should join along in sexying up your master bedroom.
