Good Morning friends! Not sure how you are doing this week but I am having a hard time getting motivated to blog. Maybe it’s because my head is swimming around with ideas, projects and orginazing goodness. Yesterday I was supposed to be preparing for the two birthday parties at our home this coming Saturday. Instead I stayed in my jammies until 5:30, didn’t shower at all today and rearranged almost all the furniture on the main floor. I did manage to fold some laundry though so I did accomplish one thing on my list.
Here’s a little before and after action for you from Picnik, I’m addicted to their collage maker.
I moved the Dining Room into the formal Living Room and moved the kid’s play kitchen into the Dining Room. The dresser from the family room ended up in here along with the IKEA chairs. The loveseat is now in the family room with it’s mate, the leather couch. I hate both of those pieces of furniture but they are here for the long haul so work with what you hate have, right?
In case you don’t and if you don’t, you really should because I sometimes post pics on there that don’t make it on here and talk about other random stuff. Also I would love to chat with you and fb is great for that. Also, more shameless promotion, I joined the twitter world a few months ago but never really told anyone. I have no idea what I am doing so if you are on twitter, talk to me and tell me how to twit, tweet or whatever it is I am doing. You can find me .
In other randomness, last week my wonderful hubby installed two new doors on the main floor and we LOVE the look of them! It’s so much better with the white trim and now the six panel doors, the oak will soon be nothing but a bad dream. Boo to the Yeah!
They are from Home Depot and are the hollow core slabs for $19. Hubby had to use the plunge router to make the hinge inset on the door along with using his drill maybe not really sure, to make the hole door handle and finally he had to use a planer to shave off some of the door so it would close nicely. It didn’t take him too long to do this and we he only has 14 more doors to go. I figure we can buy one a month and we’ll be done by next year.
With the new year this blog will be getting a new look towards the end of February by Elizabeth at I can’t wait to see what we come up with! While we are working on a new look here I am also wondering what you enjoy and would like to see more of here on this blog. Would you mind doing me a favor and filling out a very brief 10 question survey? I would LOVE to have your feedback, input and ideas. I want you to be honest and with your help, I’d like to make this blog better for you and me.
Finally, on Tuesday morning I had breakfast at Panera with this handsome dude. It was an unplanned morning as I thought we had MOPS but when we didn’t. It might help if we had a 2012 calender around here but we don’t…..yet.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a few highlights from the 2011 Before and After Party and I thought maybe I would try being the Blooming Blogger this week while we are on vacation. The real Blooming Blogger will resume on Monday!
I love how you moved your rooms around. That sounds like something I would do. My husband never knows what he is coming home to. Can't wait to see the new look of your blog. I am thinking of having my blog redesigned this year as well.
i think we all feel like that sometimes- last friday i was in my pj's til a friend called at 4:30 to see if i could walk my kids over to play with hers. i threw on a sweater and windpants and still no bra…. so yeah, i know all about that lack of motivation some days and the head swimming so much that you don't know which way is out! just try to focus on one thing or you could do like i do which is do my best to function until the inspiration hits me to do something.
Love those new doors! Make such a difference in the space…and your little guy is too sweet for words!
You are way more motivated than I am! I have done NOTHING and have no plans right now. Slacker.
Your new doors look so good!
And I took your survey because I am a nerd that LOVES surveys. I think your blog should have more surveys.
I have about 10 projects going on right now and up until 8 pm last night I didn't feel like doing any. Burst of energy, the tree came down and some trim molding went up. Sometimes it just happens like that.
Those doors look amazing! Are they seriously only $19 each? Did I read that wrong?
Love the rearranged room Ange and the new door is fantastic! It all looks so much lighter and brighter.
Good thing we weren't near each other yesterday because I was in sweats all day, didn't shower and took down Christmas stuff. We might have made a slightly odorous duo! LOL!

Great buy on the doors, what a bargain! I love the room change-up. You gotta do what you gotta do until it's right, right?
Very hot date you lucky girl!
Love the changes you made to both rooms. The blue dresser looks awesome with the dining room chairs…..what do the kids think?
I might have to spray paint today….50 degrees baby, that's all we need as far as the can says
I love the new doors, too! Man, now you've got me thinking about replacing mine
Hey I thought that we had MOPS, too! Glad I wasn't the only one.
Wow, I don't think you can get a bigger impact for $20. That door makes SUCH a difference!
I LOVE randomness! Took your survey. I'll be interested to find out how many people took the survey. You have a good readership, I'm sure you will have a good turn out.
