Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather here was quite nice and so we the hubby hung some of our Christmas lights. I helped, I told him what kind of lights to put where. Ha! I didn’t do a blog post after we had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago. Monica, our great photographer, sent us some previews of our photos and so I am sharing them with you today. I did post these on fb a while ago so if you saw them on there, just look at how cute we are again, k?
There are a few more on my fb page so you can head there to check them out!
I blogged this past weekend about how we had “The Talk” with our daughters. I really appreciate your comments and feedback on this post. It was awesome to hear from you and even sharing what your parents did or didn’t say to you regarding this topic. I love hearing from you and your comments make my day. I love being able to interact with you and sharing bits and pieces of our lives. I do my best to respond to every comment but one thing that makes it difficult is when you have your blogger profile email not set. Then you end up posting something great and I want to respond, I hit reply to the email comment and it says this: Oh no! This is very easy to fix, just head into your blogger account, underneath your profile picture it says Edit Profile. click on that and it will bring you to your profile page to edit. Check the box that says show my email and then further down the page under the Identity section you can check to make sure you have the right email address entered. I was hesitant to have my email on my blogger profile at first but I have never been sent anything spammy or yucky. This makes replying to your comments so much easier for me and the other bloggeer’s blogs you comment on.
I also want to point out to you to new ads for the Blooming Hydrangea. I’m so excited to showcase both and . You will be hearing more about these two great sites later this week!
Speak of other bloggers, Kristi at posted a great about Pinning Etiquette this past week. A definite must read for all those who use Pinterest! Don’t you find it so frustrating when you click on the link and it takes you to the general blog or web page they got the pin from and not the actual post? I love Pinterest but sometimes it is frustrating! Kristi also shares a great post by regarding why she watermarks all her photos on her blog. This is a great read for bloggers and how to protect your blogging property! It will only take you five minutes so make sure to read it as well!
Moving away from technology and onto something more fun, did anyone watch the movie yet? Ok well I guess we are still on technology. lol. The hubby and I watched it last night and we both liked it. Usually when books get turned into movies, they don’t follow the story that well. This was pretty close to the book and of course we like Reese Witherspoon. Did you read the book? What do you think about the book, the movie and the book to movie translation?
Finally, I made this last week for dinner and it was a hit! I did not have the white wine and made it without and it still turned out great. So if you are looking for a new meal to add to your rotation you might want to give this one a try, it’s called White Cheddar Chicken Pasta and it’s on my Recipes/Dinner Ideas board on my page!
Your family pictures are beautiful! The one with your hubby playing to you is so romantic ;). I know you two are so in love…you can tell.
Thanks for all the great info, I have a lot of reading to do today. Have a wonderful week
Aw, great family photos, Ange! Christmas card season is right around the corner! And that recipe looks delicious! I've been looking for something new to try! Hope you have a great week!
Cute photos! Your family is lovely. =) That sweater you are wearing is so pretty too! Perfect shade! I haven't seen "Water for Elephants" yet, but I want too. Also- that pasta looks SO good. Must repin.
Ange, I have been taking a little vacay from the internet the past few days. {much needed!} So I missed your post about the "talk." I will have to read it. Off to take my 16 year old to turn in an application for a job…fingers crossed! I don't have to read the watermark post to know why I watermark my photos…not everybody has integrity, unfortunately. I have yet to watch the elephant movie, but want to. The photos are darling and the meal looks delicious! I've missed talking to you lately.
