Good Morning peeps! The sun is shining, it’s warm and the leaves are starting to turn. I am so happy! Remind me of this post when the wind is blowing snow everywhere and I haven’t seen the sun in days. HA!
Today the Roomspiration party is at where Elizabeth is the hostess. She is showing off her beautiful laundry room today and then we get to link up our mudrooms and laundry rooms. My laundry room is not blog worthy right now and the mudroom is also just not where I would like it to be, it’s in a transition stage, you know, where you are in junior high and your face is full of acne, you have greasy hair and your voice is weird sounding? That’s the stage this mudroom is in, hopefully when we grow out of that stage it will blossom into something beautiful and functional.
I painted the back of the door black which as cut down on the door cleaning because the fingerprints and scum are now hidden with the black paint. We removed the closet doors because I hate bi-fold doors, I am waiting for someone to lose a finger in there. We added some hooks to the opposite wall for the kids’ backpacks and jackets. I’d like to remove the wire shelving and add some cubbies and definitely an area for shoes! And what do I do with the bins of dog food? Where do you store your dog food, I’d love to know! Tell me, please! Hopefully now that Ruby hasn’t had an accident in the house in a long time, we can move the dog beds out of this area soon.
The mudroom is first on my list because the shoes are just out of control so I thought I’d share some of my inspiration photos from pinterest with you today.
Mudroom Ideas
And I think everyone has pinned this one, it’s a favorite of mine!
Do you have a mudroom? How do you organize shoes, backpacks and coats? I’d love to see and so would everyone else. Link up today and show off your space! Also it’s not too late to link up to the other blogs below, you have until Oct. 14th!
I love your inspiration photos…especially the last one. I have to repin that one.
Your are so lucky you have a mudroom! I know in time it will be fabulous, moving into a new home it takes time to get to all of the projects.
I love the inspirations. The molding on the 2nd to last one is incredible, the details. I am also drawn to the first image where they took what looks like a closet and built in an organization station, such a great idea.
Thanks for linking up yesterday!
