Blooming Blogger: White Lacquer

Good Morning lovely people! I hope you all were able to enjoy some beautiful weather and maybe some family togetherness as well this weekend! We managed to do both so I consider that a success. I also managed to get a ton of painting done in our bedroom this weekend and I can’t wait to share it with you, tomorrow.
Today, I am starting back up a series that I originally started in April called The Blooming Blogger. I am not loving the name of the series and we’ll talk more about that later. I featured two bloggers before all you know what broke lose with us moving. I have really been itching to bring it back though because I love introducing you to bloggers that may be newer to blogging or maybe you just haven’t come across their blog yet. All the blogs I feature are blogs that I personally follow and love to read. One of the intents of this series is to showcase one of their best projects or rooms and also to ask them some fun but random questions so you can get to know them a little more personally.

Today I want to introduce to my beautiful friend, Patience from .

So tell us, why did you start blogging?

I had been in a slump with decorating our home and needed some motivation….of course with google being my BFF, I headed there. That’s where I came across Made by Girl, Plush Palate and The Decorista. It opened my eyes to a whole new world. After 6 months or so of saving images (where was pinterest when I needed it?) I decided to start my blog/diary. Let me tell you, as a lover of all things creative and gorgeous, it was the best decision ever. Not to mention all the fabulous people I’ve met.

What is your favorite room or project you have done so far?
I really love the stripes in our entry way and how our living room is coming together.

The Living Room:

Describe your perfect date night.

We love date night in. We put our gaggle to bed, open a bottle of wine…….have some cheese, maybe cake pops and talk. Sometimes we pop in a movie.  We did however just go out to a romantic dinner and dancing. That was a blast.

One thing you want under the Christmas tree this year?

Oh man, is my list is ever long this year….yikes! But I’m desperately needing this .

It’s perfect for my new fab shelf in our living room. Or maybe I could make one?

Name three of your favorite blogs to read.

So hard to pick just 3….In addition to The Blooming Hydrangea, here they are.

Check them out, you won’t regret it.

Share your favorite pin with us.

I like this pic so much, I pinned it 3 times. Who does that? This girl.

Seriously coveting that Hermes tray. Hello lover! -Carrie Bradshaw (as if you didn’t know)

I’m currently on the hunt for a tray to make a faux Hermes tray. Yum.

Thanks Patience for letting me pick your brain and sharing with us a little bit about you, your home and your blog.  Head over to and see what else she has done, like t and her great find.

Now dear readers, I’d love to hear from you!  I need a name for this blogging series and I can’t seem to come up with one.  So leave me a suggestion, email me, fb me, tweet me, send smoke signals, whatever works.  I’m open to hearing from you!  I will be featuring a blog every Monday from now until the end of February and if we all like this series, we can keep it going!  Now I’m off to buy another camera battery so I can take some pics of the progress I made this weekend.  Did you accomplish something this weekend?  Tell me about it, I want to know what you did!

First off, thank you so much Patience, for the mention – I'm so flattered and in such incredibly good company! :) I love your favourite pin (so much pretty) and I may have a kitchen picture I've pinned 3 times as well!! ;)

Second, this is a great series! Not sure about names (probably presumptuous to suggest anything being new around here lol) but whatever you name it, I love being introduced to new blogs :)

    xxx
